  • Re: DNS on a TabletPC

We also have the same results as you on the Lenovo as well as on a Fujitsu 2010 - we do prefer the Fujitsu because it gives excellent battery life, much better than the Lenovo. The Tablet hinge seems to a be little less stable than the Lenovo so care should be taken if you change from keyboard to Tablet...

  • Re: KnowBrainer Review of NaturallySpeaking Ver. 10

I was just reviewing the DNS upgrade offer and noticed the * at the bottom of the page. If you buy version 10 preferred for $100(upgrade price), it is not compatible with EMR and the medical version is now up to $1600. My experience using DNS 9.5 preferred with "the boom" mic is that medical...

  • Re: Windows™ Speech Recognition Toolkit

" Vista is fine for consumers but it's not well suited to professionals and is especially ill suited to the medical community. What we were talking about is accuracy and vocabulary; not commands. We are not recommending against your toolkit but rather against the use of the VSR (Vista speech...

  • Re: Vista Crisis - My experience

MS should have never buckled under to the PC manufacturers who want to cut corners on their crappy parts. Manufacturer's (inluced MS most serious partner, Intel) are the ones that forced the compromise of weak PCs to be called , "Vista Capable ." I'm capable of flying too, until I hit...

  • Re: DNS and what laptop or tablet? Does ReadyBoost speed up DNS?

"Although NaturallySpeaking will work with 1 GB of RAM on a XP platform we tend to recommend using 2 GB of RAM. On a Vista platform we like to see 3 or 4 Gb of RAM." Do you have any specifics on the "Vista ReadyBoost" and Dragon? I added 4GB of the fastest USB RAM I could find to...

  • Re: Vista Crisis - My experience

I recently replaced the computer at my office desk with a new, surprisingly inexpensive, HP from Office Depot. I am still amazed at how much you get for the money these days. Keep in mind that I used to shop at MWAVE and assemble my own computers from the motherboard up just because I was so picky about...
