We are  very happy with the support at Kareo. Between the webinars, online video's and the support team.

no doubt about that !!!!!

Kareo has some wonderful features that is very easy to use and self explantory and the best thing you can always try and if you dont like (which is not going to happen) you can always opt out since its not on contract base.

Thanks

Hi,

I just started using Kareo in December, so far we have no complains, anytime I need to speak to them I always get an answer from their costumer service!!!  That's my expierience with them.

I would recommend people to use Kareo, is a easy program to learn, my cash flow is fast and love the fact that I can check eligibility right on the spot.

Hope this helps, good luck finding your billing software, it  would be a good idea to consider Kareo.

Thanks

Hi,

I have used Kareo since December, I found them when I was looking for EHR system, they work together with Practice Fusion. So far I'm have a great experience with the company.   Program is easy to learn and they have a great costumer service!  Every time  I call them I get and answer and the help I'm looking for, that's my experience with them!!

My cash flow is fast, is easy to learn and the fact I can check patients eligibility on the spot is great for the practice. My old system was much more expensive  and I didn't get half what I get from Kareo.

Hope this helps and good luck finding a billing software. I would highly recommend Kareo to you.

Great system. I do the 199.99 a month. Covers scheduling, billing. Very easy system to use. Can log on from any computer after downloading software, which takes less than a minute. I never really use the support, don't need it. It takes a few weeks to get used to and understand everything, but the videos and training really explains everything. I use the system myself, no help from staff because of the ease of use. Simple to post payments, send statement and schedule patients. Good luck.

You should clarify that the 199.99 per month is per physician so starts to add up if you are billing for more than one provider. Anyway, I'm a former client and my experience with Kareo was not very good at all. The system was okay for but we quickly outgrew it and found another product much more effective for the needs of our growing practice,

The problem was trying to get our data from Kareo when we wanted to leave and it became a nightmare for us. We ended up having to keep Kareo and work all our AR while also using our new system. Frankly, Kareo is being extremely untruthful when they say that there is no commitment and you can cancel anytime as the reality is they will hold your data hostage telling you they can't provide you financial information in a format that be imported or used in a new system.

Bottom line is to be very wary of this company as they are not trustworthy people to do business with.

For anyone interested in how Kareo is as a practice management and billing software, I can attest to the fact that the program has done wonders for my physical therapy practice. We recently began using Kareo with the EMR system that we had been using for a few years. The transition was relatively smooth, and the implementation team and support team is top notch. They are very patient and explain the set up and basic use of the software well. There are web based tutorials and user guides that are very detailed and helpful once you finish the implementation period, if you need additional support. The program is cost effective, and has saved me many hours of redundant data entry, claims processing and posting time and  allows for numerous practice management statistical reports.  Kareo also has an Add In for Excel, for exporting reports to spreadsheets. As far as affordability is concerned, I researched numerous other options prior to signing up with Kareo. All other vendors were more expensive, required a committed contract, and lacked the friendly and helpful (the FIRST time) customer support that Kareo provides.   The decision to chose Kareo as our practice management and billing software was a wise one, and I encourage others to follow suit! :)

Kerry - I'm glad you've had good interactions with this company. Unfortunately, my experience was quite negative and I could not in good conscience recommend Kareo.

Obviously, no software is going to be good for everyone. In fact if you go back a few posts, even one the company founders clearly states that the program isn't for everyone! :-)

Kareo is like Medisoft.  A good bang for your buck, is not perfect but is good for the very small guy who does not want to spend a lot of money.  I personally do not recommend as a Clinical Healthcare IT Consutlant seperate PM and EMR systems.  What can go wrong will go wrong!

I had a billing service a few years back and support was non-existant. That immediately is a turn off! Support whoucl always be available for any software product!

I have been using Kareo for a year now. Kareo is very affordable and I have not had any trouble reaching Customer Support. I do prefer to e-mail Kareo with questions or concerns rather than call, and they do get back to me quickly.  Kareo was very simple to set up and user friendly. I watched the demos and began using Kareo without much training and worked my way around it myself. Kareo interfaces with our EHR Practice Fusion seamlessly. It's a great billing system and I would recommend Kareo to any Medical Practice/Billing Service.

My billing company has been using Kareo since 2007 and we are more than satisfied and happy as well as our clients. It takes minutes to set up a new clients and send out electronic claims. It is very user friendly and easy to learn software. Office staff learn to schedule and verify benefits with minutes with no prior experience with Kareo. Kareo price is very competitive and the most important thing is there is no long term commitment, it is month by month agreement.Video library training and support is excellent addition and many times there is no reason to call support because all your answer you can find there. If you are looking for affordable, user friendly and easy to learn and operate software with great support  Kareo is way to go!

I know it's been a while since this question was posted, but after reading some of the responses, I noticed some things may have changed. For one, I don't know how unreliable the customer service was back in '09, but within the six months my company has been using Kareo, I've had great responses. With email contact, I hear back about my questions within 24 hours, phone questions same thing. I don't know about anyone else, but 24 hours is not a long time to wait when I'm used to waiting as long as 120 days for payment from insurance companies. I didn't know if electronic billing was really going to make a difference, since we are always out of network and have to obtain numerous authorizations and referrals, but the A/R turnover is definitely improving. Also, we had a private programmer, for a reasonable fee, use the available integration API to both import our current patient data, and link our web-based sales system right into the program. My job has gone from filing paper forms with multiple attachments taking at least a few minutes per claim to clicking a button to import the sales, manually reviewing the claims, then submitting all at once, and receiving confirmations of submissions and error reports. It's wonderful to have the tracking information at your fingertips instead of calling the ridiculous touch-tone systems that don't accept the patient ID's just to get a claim number to talk to a representative. I'm sure there's other software out there that does this, and gathers all the patient data into one place, and has the ability to export, but I doubt at such a cheap price, and with such efficient customer support. Lastly, for those who aren't computer programmers speaking another language about cloud computing and such, this is a very reasonably easy to use software - it's sort of self-explanatory. Nothing seems too technical to understand, nor is it so simple that it can't do what you need it to. If you don't like the options in the built-in reporting, just export to excel and do what you need to. No big deal. And so what if you have to export? You're paying at a max $400 per month for top-of the line support and scheduling, and if you don't already have something like excel, then you're living in a cave.

Hi Rick--thank you for your post.

In case you haven't heard, Kareo did brave some growing pains where customer service could not keep up with growth. In recent months, Kareo has developed multiple partnerships with investors, EMR's, and other pertinent services related to the industry. Kareo has even recently added the option to bill Institutional claims as well.

Last, but certainly not least, Kareo has more than doubled its support team in an effort to respond to all questions within 48-72 hours. Kareo has also increased available features and is always listening for new ways to help our customers succeed! Visit us and let us know your thoughts!

If you haven't seen Kareo lately, check us out! Cool

Hi, good software and good customer service are two sides of a coin. So far "Kareo" is not doing any justice on the customer service front.

EMR software is considered a boon to the healthcare industry, however, the ultimate benefits of EMR would come only through its meaningful use.
