• Re: eCW vs. eMDs

I am new as well, just joined and saw this. I am probably breaking protocol here, so I will apologize in advance. I don't know if you have made a decision yet, but the other responses are correct. Legacy systems are having a very tough time keeping up. We have comprehensive solution (PM/EMR/Billing...

  • So many EHR options

I have been taked with finding the best EHR solution for my office. After speaking with other offices; some who have one, some that are partially electronic, and some that are still on paper like us; and all that I have found out is that there are a lot of different ways to go. It was really frustrating...

  • Re: An Extremely Basic EMR System

Who knows what HIPAA compliant might be. Every EMR I have seen claims to be HIPAA compliant, but many of them recommend using Windows Server without any security or virus protection. That said, this sounds like a reasonably secure system, but not very useful. Your friend would be better served with a...

  • Re: The Pied Piper of CCHIT
He ended with, "Just what does CCHIT certify?" My answer: "CCHIT is a high-priced, failed marketing scheme that certifies that the vendor wants to limit competition. It's easier than creating a usable product."
Marketing scheme - nice...

  • Re: Am I wrong with the assessment?

There are still posts about different EMRs on the forum, i do agree however, that they are fewer in number . I dare say that this is due to the amount of "trolls" on the site who love nothing more than post dispariging comments whenever someone writes about a specific emr. CCHIT does not hamper...

  • Re: e-prescribing
We developed our own solution because we thought Surescripts did not meet doctors needs but only pharmacists needs. Our goal is to make doctors more money not pharmacists or HMOs or Insurance companies.
Develop a standalone ePrescribing solution. I think many...
