Update! (I don't know why my post showed up twice.) Concern #1: Is Allscripts cutting off support for Medinotes? No. Allscripts understands the importance of this solution to your practice. Effective immediately, we are extending support for MediNotes for the foreseeable future. http://www.allscripts...

  • Re: Medinotes users are often quite happy.

I still like my MediNotes. It does everything I need. I am going to keep using it. Here's the problem: It is still running on the same old XP box that I installed it on 'bout seven years ago. I need to figure out a way to keep it going without having to do a reinstall since I'm sure the passwords...

  • Re: Medinotes users are often quite happy.

By recent reports, Medinotes has sold to Allscripts. Nothing like having a great EMR (which users seemed to actually LIKE - rare in the EMR world) and it dies right before your eyes. The reasons people bought Medinotes will not be found in Allscript's offerings.
Now...

  • Re: The Future of MediNotese
Now that MediNotes is owned by Allscripts, what is going to happen to the software? Is Allscripts going to continue it or can it? JamesNT
MediNotes e has been given an official sunset date of December 31, 2011 by Eclipsys . Remember: You should be using the EMR...

  • Medinotes users Help is on the way!

As a long time advocate of medinotes for its simple to use and low cost methodology, we followed those options into its acquisition by Eclipsys and began assisting doctors to roll medinotes into peak practice. Allscripts then acquired Eclipsys and announced the sunsetting of PeakPractice and replaced...

  • PeakPractice EMR Implementation - Hold it or fold it?

This "adventure" begins with a practice startup in mid-November of 2008 and an EMR purchase in December of 2008. As you may know, MediNotes acquired Bond Clinician, renamed it MediNotes Clinician in February 2008, then was acquired by Eclipsys, who renamed the program PeakPractice. (MediNotes...
